Giving to Penn Engineering

6th Annual Graduate Research Symposium

Showcasing Penn research and promoting industry interactions is the focus of the Penn Engineering Graduate Research Symposium (GRS). On March 28th, the symposium brought regional and partner companies to campus for research presentations by doctoral students and a discussion panel by faculty and industry supporters.

The symposium, now in its sixth year, was sponsored by BlackRock, General Motors, Lockheed Martin, Merck, and Rohm & Haas.

The primary goal of GRS is to provide graduate students with a forum to network with industry representatives, interact with potential recruiters, examine potential opportunities for industry collaborations, survey technology transfer opportunities, and get a first-hand look at the work of other graduate students. For industry, it is a chance to explore the research going on at Penn Engineering by a highly talented group of graduate students and faculty.

Presentation and poster sessions included Computers, Electronics & Systems, Biologically-Based Science and Engineering, and Physically-Based Science and Engineering.

To view abstracts from these sessions visit the web site at www.seas.upenn.edu/research-at-penn/.
