The D. Robert Yarnall Award is presented each year at the Senior Awards Dinner to a distinguished alumnus for an outstanding contribution in the field of engineering to society, either in public service, private industry, or education, that has enhanced the image of the University of Pennsylvania. University Alumni of Merit Award
Deadline for Entry - February 5, 2010
Alumni are encouraged to nominate alumni volunteers who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and service to the University. Community service, professional achievements, and other such accomplishments are considered but are only secondary to University service. In addition to this online nomination form, documentation explaining and supporting why the candidate should be considered should be submitted at this time.
Please note: The strongest nominations are those that are accompanied by one or more letters of recommendation from classmates, colleagues, University staff, and others who can speak specifically to the candidate's leadership and service to Penn. Candidates without any such letters of support may not be given full consideration by the Awards and Resolutions Committee.
University Young Alumni Award of Merit
2009 Young Alumni Award Nomination
Deadline for Entry - February 5, 2010
The Young Alumni Award recognizes outstanding leadership and service to the University prior to one's 16th reunion year. Community service, professional achievements, and other such accomplishments are considered but are secondary to five to 15 years of varied University service. The Young Alumni Award will also be presented during Homecoming Weekend 2009. Attendance at the ceremony, to be held November 6, 2009, is a prerequisite for receiving the Award.
