Joint M.D./Ph.D. Program
A joint program of study leading to an
M.D./Ph.D. in Bioengineering is available. The mission of
the MD/PhD joint program is to train outstanding physician-investigators
who will make valuable contributions to the technological advancement
in bioengineering through research based on the experiences obtained
from clinical activities and teaching.
Students applying to the
program must obtain admission to both the graduate program in Bioengineering
and to the Medical School
of the University. The course of study and research for Bioengineers
generally takes a minimum of 6 1/2 - 7 years. Students in the program
will satisfy the degree requirements for both degrees.
Additional
