Dual Major Programs

A dual major is a program taken by a student in two engineering BSE majors simultaneously, such as the BSE program in Bioengineering and Electrical Engineering. Students must satisfy degree requirements in both majors, but there is significant opportunity for double counting of requirements, and using required courses in one program as electives in the other. Students in a dual major are required to fulfill only one senior design requirement. Students interested in a dual major should consult the School of Engineering manual for specific rules, and discuss their plans with their advisor and note any changes in the standard curriculum required. Dual major students have an advisor in each of their programs. The degree requirement of each BSE major can be found in the respective departmental internet site.
