Minors
Although Bioengineering does not offer a minor, many other
Penn programs do offer minors. The minor generally requires
six courses with some requirements or distribution in the area
of concentration. Some of the more popular minors for Bioengineering
students are Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry, since many
requirements overlap with the Bioengineering curriculum, and
other requirements can be taken as technical or free electives.
Bioengineering students have taken other minors in areas such
as Economics and Psychology. For official lists of requirements
for minors, you need to visit the WEB site or contact the specific
program. Minors appear on the student transcript.
Some links for minors are available below.
Students interested in other minors should explore the information
in programs of interest to them.
