Pre-meds

Both the BSE and BAS Bioengineering curricula enable students to fulfill Premed requirements. Premed Physics, Chemistry, Math and Biology requirements are also requirements in Bioengineering. English requirements fulfill the School of Engineering Social Sciences and Humanities course requirements. Other Premed requirements including organic chemistry and biology labs fulfill technical electives in Bioengineering curricula, or free electives. Students should also look into the possibility of a minor in chemistry or biology. Premed students should meet with a dedicated advisor in Penn's Premed Office, which is located in Career Services. Engineering premed students have an advisor knowledgeable in the Bioengineering curriculum.
