Why is my home DSL connection so slow?
It can be very difficult to figure out what is the cause of slow and/or flaky DSL connections. Here a few things to try:
- Make sure all phones in your house have dsl phone filters installed.
- Ask verizon tech support to run remote diagnostics on your DSL modem. They can sometimes determine problems with your modem or with your DSL line.
- If they show all ok, try plugging your computer into a wired connection on your switch/router.
- If the above doesn't show an improvement, try plugging your computer directly into the ethernet jack of your DSL modem.
