Mounting your SEAS home directory on a Windows machine

From a Windows Machine that CETS does not manage (using the command line)

Remote Samba mount in Windows

  1. Go to your Start Menu, Click Run, type: cmd
  2. Type the command to mount your SEAS home directory. For example, if your username was "bfranklin", you would type:
    net use s: \\smb.seas.upenn.edu\bfranklin /user:bfranklin *
  3. You'll be prompted for your SEAS password.

From a CETS-managed Windows Machine (using the command line)

  1. Go to your Start Menu, Click Run, type: cmd
  2. Enter the following command:
  3. net use s: \\nestor\%USERNAME% /persistent:yes
