Information about Penn Live Email

As you probably already know, Penn is partnering with Microsoft to launch "Penn Live," a new option for email and other online communications services for Penn students.

SEAS is planning to offer Penn Live as an alternative to SEAS mail, but we do not yet have many details about how the service will function. Here is what we know:

Q: Is SEAS email going away?
A: No

Q: Do I have to switch to Penn Live?
A: No

Q: How do I get a Penn Live account?
A: Penn Live accounts are not available to SEAS students yet. We will keep you informed as they become available.

Q: Can I use another email service (Gmail, Hotmail, etc) instead?
A: You can forward your SEAS mail to any outside email account. Most services also offer the option to use your upenn.edu email address on your outgoing mail. Please check with your email service for more information about how to do this.
