SEAS Technology Facilities Overview
SEAS buildings are fully covered by secure wireless and high-speed
wired networks, with redundant gigabit or faster fiber connections to
the Internet and Internet 2. Typically, network equipment is upgraded every four years.
There are four Windows and two Linux computer labs, with a total of
218 stations. CETS also supports SEAS departmental Windows computer
labs, with a total of 150 stations. All stations are upgraded every three to four
years. All of these stations can store files on a 15+ TB file server.
Remote access to the desktop software and stored files is available
via 'Remote Desktop' (Windows) and SSH (Linux).
SEAS provides separate web servers for critical services, webmail,
research and academic sites, and student projects. Servers are
upgraded every three to four years.
