Michael Beecham (BE)

Class of 2010

I'm a rising Bioengineering Junior. Academically, I'm pursuing a minor in math and engineering entrepreneurship and have submatriculated into the Masters of Science in Bioengineering program. Extracurricularly, I'm on the business staff of Mask and Wig, an all-male comedy troupe on campus, and the treasurer of Theta Tau, Penn's only Professional engineering Fraternity. For fun, I enjoy playing Rock Band, reading the Economist, and training for the marathon this November. Over the past two years, I've come to love Penn Engineering and believe it is the best school on campus. If you don't already think the same, I plan to do my best to convince you too!

Matthew Canver (BE)

BE Departmental Leader

Class of 2010

I am a junior in Bioengineering (BSE). I grew up in Albany, New York. I am involved in the Biomedical Engineering Society and PennScience. My hobbies are playing tennis and watching movies.

N. James Cisper (BE)

Class of 2009

My name is Neil James Cisper. I was born in Kansas City, Missouri. Since I was able to walk, I have wrestled. I wrestled for Penn for 2 years and then got hurt and could not continue to wrestle. I will be a senior this coming fall in Bioengineering. I plan to attend medical school after graduation. I currently work for a pathology lab for the University of Pennsylvania doing HIV research.

Rachel Howitt (ASBS)

Class of 2009

I grew up in Fair Lawn NJ, went to the Bergen County Academies for high school (a magnet school for science), and I'm entering my final year at Penn!  Getting to senior year with a single major is a feat because wayyy back when I started Penn, I wanted to major in everything.  I'm doing my senior thesis in the Burdick lab... I love the outdoors and hate the winter... I'm hoping to head to grad school after I graduate... and outside class I'm a youth group advisor in New Jersey.  Any other questions you have, I'd be happy to answer!

Yiping Li (ASBS)

Class of 2010

I'm a bioengineer from Memphis, TN (Excuse my lack of a southern accent and slight distaste for country music). Around campus I'm involved in ESAC, Living Water Christian Fellowship, Alpha Phi Omega, Advancing Women in Engineering, eMED, and Chinese Music Society. I love yummy food, spending time with friends, working out, and meeting new people!

Zen Liu (BE)

I'm an RA in Kings Court English House (3rd floor), I work in a lab, and tutor with the West Philadelphia Tutoring Project. I love LOLcats, CNN.com, and CounterStrike. I am terrified of, but do not hate, spiders and tornadoes.
