Open Post Doctoral Positions

Professor Portonovo Ayyaswamy's group is seeking a Post Doctoral Fellow to assist in the development of multiscale models and simulation methods for cell membrane deformation and dynamics in the presence of hydrodynamic and receptor-ligand forces applied to Targeted Nanocarrier design and optimization for drug delivery.  The program plans to develop a synergistic modeling and experimental platform for accessing and bridging the multiple length and time scales relevant for vascular drug delivery. The project is funded by a NIH-RO1 grant in collaboration with Dr. David Eckmann and Dr. Ravi Radhakrishnan at Penn.

The prospective candidate must have a Ph.D. in  Engineering or in a relevant science area with a strong background and track record in numerical methods related to multiphase flow problems and in statistical mechanics. Good knowledge of and deep appreciation for biology at the nanoscale are highly desired. The position is available immediately.
