Admissions

The Penn EMTM program prepares engineers, scientists and managers for leadership in the management of technology and innovation. An intensive residential weekend program for professionals and executives who continue to work full-time, EMTM is academically challenging and personally demanding. Students and graduates will also tell you that it can be one of the most powerful and rewarding experiences of your career.

How do you decide if EMTM is a good fit for you?

  1. Request a brochure and explore EMTM through the resources on this website. For an overview, see EMTM At-a-Glance. To find out why others have chosen EMTM, and what impact it has had on their work and careers, read the profiles of recent students and alumni. Compare your options by understanding how EMTM relates to technology-specific MSE programs offered by Penn Engineering and to Wharton's Executive MBA program.
  2. Experience EMTM firsthand and talk with students and alumni. Attend an information reception. Come to campus to visit classes and meet with students and faculty. Request an 'EMTM Connection' to talk by phone or email with a current or former student.
  3. Begin your online application. The process itself can help you examine your career goals and determine if there is a good fit with the EMTM program. (There is no fee to begin an application, which can be completed over several sessions.)
