PART 10: INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Foreign nationals are responsible for ensuring that they have the proper legal documentation
or permission to study in the United States. Most international students will fall into one of the
following two categories:

1. If you are already in the U.S., you must ensure that the rules of your immigration status
(or visa) permit summer study at SAAST at the University of Pennsylvania. Please contact
us if you are unsure of whether your immigration status allows you to participate in SAAST.

2. If you are currently outside the U.S., you must obtain an F-1 visa to attend SAAST. Please
be sure to check the box below, so that an I-20 form can be processed if you are accepted to SAAST. Failure to do this may result in delays, and ultimately in your inability to get the documentation you need to travel to the US.

I intend to apply for a F-1 visa in order to attend SAAST.
