Mathematics Courses
The following courses can be used to fulfill the mathematics requirement.
- Computer Science and Engineering: 260, 261, 262, 313
- EAS 402, 520
- ENM: All courses
- ESE: 301, 302
- Mathematics: Any course* MATH 104 or above except 122, 123, 130, 150, 151, 170, 174, 180, 212, 220, 312**, 475
- Philosophy: 5,6
- STAT: 430, 431
- SYS: 301, 302
STAT 430, 431 and ESE/SYS 301, 302 are equivalent sets of courses.
STAT courses below 430 may not be counted anywhere on the engineering CPG, except for STAT 111 which may be counted as a free elective.
Freshman Seminars may not be used to fulfill the mathematics requirements.
* Note that students may not receive credit for two courses at the same level where the content is similar. A number of forbidden pairs of courses are listed in the Course Register
** After May, 2006, this course counts as mathematics for engineering students.
