APPLY TO BE A PART OF THE WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP SERIES
The Women in Leadership Series (WILS) is recruiting current freshman and sophomores for our Executive Board.
The WILS Mission: To create opportunities for students to meet with and learn from influential and successful female leaders from a variety of fields. We believe that through interacting with these inspirational women, more undergraduate women will be motivated to strive for positions of leadership both on campus and in the workplace. Our hope is that this series will promote awareness of the challenges women face in attaining leadership positions and also inspire undergraduate women to accomplish their personal and professional goals. Some of our recent events include WILith Fair 2008, an evening celebrating Penn's outstanding female leadership, and "How to manage your finances: A workshop for Penn women."
To apply, please submit a proposal for an event of your choosing. Information should include:
1. A proposed speaker
2. Why you think that speaker is relevant
3. What demographic would be interested in this speaker and why
4. How you would publicize the event
Feel free to include additional information demonstrating your thoughtfulness and organizational skills. Also, in a paragraph or two, please indicate why you would like to become a part of WILS and what you feel you would bring to our executive board.
