Welcome Class of 2013!

Our students, faculty and staff offer you our very best wishes and we will see you on campus in September. One of the strongest determinants of the quality of a college education is the quality of one’s peers, from whom standards and aspirations are often drawn.  Your peers here at Penn are simply outstanding —you will take pride in being among a very talented group of students with extraordinary performance and potential.

The Penn campus is always alive with activity, and the engineering school is the most exciting place to be at Penn. As a new student, we want to provide you with the resources you need during your transition to Penn Engineering. Below are some links that you may find useful.

Life After NSO

Peer Advisors: The Orientation Peer Advisors (OPA!) are ready to take your questions about what it's like to be an engineering student, or any other general questions you might have. You should be receiving a letter or email from your assigned OPA! by the time you arrive on campus.

Walk In Advising

Professional Advising: Advisors in the Office of Academic Programs (APO) are available to assist you during normal business hours in whatever way they can. Walk-In Advising during the Summer are as follows:
Office of Academic Programs
111 Towne Building (you can find the building here)
2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Mondays to Thursdays

Major Advising

Faculty Advisors: You will find out who your faculty advisor is at New Student Orientation. There will be office hours held during NSO so you will be able to meet your faculty advisor.

UndergraduAte Coordinators: Most questions that you may have will be answered in the Freshman Guidebook. If you cannot find the information you need, you may contact the Undergraduate Coordinators for your appropriate major.
