Through this experiment, it is understood that there is no explicit hypothesis of interest. The experiment is purposely open ended so that students will determine what constitutes failure and which two groups to compare (different suture techniques).

A. Experimental Goal

To quantify the failure energy in order to determine suture performance for resisting separation under variable tensile loading.
