Fracture Properties of Modern Casts:
Plaster of Paris versus Fiberglass
Name: Teresa Oh
Class: BE 210
This experiment will determine how varying cast materials affect the durability
of the casts, thus quantifying which cast textile allows for the most durable
environment for fractured bones to heal in. It is hypothesized that chicken
bones with a fiberglass cast will have higher failure strength than chicken
bones with plaster casts.
