The Stephenson Foundation Undergraduate Laboratory

The Stephenson Foundation Undergraduate Laboratory is the primary teaching laboratory for the Department of Bioengineering and is designed for both 'wet' and 'dry' experiments. It is located in Room 225 Skirkanich Hall.
The lab is made up of 16 stations (for up to four students per station), all equipped with computers and data acquisition equipment. The lab is specifically designed for self-discovery, rather than traditional lecture-based learning. In addition, a computer lab is available with eight computers for data analysis. The laboratory is also equipped with fume hoods and cell culture hoods. A state of the art A/V system allows instructors to project an experiment demonstration, such as a dissection, so that it can be viewed by an entire class.
