I plan to graduate May or August 2012. I am considering both jobs in industry and post-doc positions where I can continue to do computer vision+machine learning research. I would love to hear from interested parties, especially if it gives me the opportunity to travel!

About

I'm a Ph.D. candidate in my second third fourth fifth year in the Computer and Information Science department at the University of Pennsylvania. I work with my advisor Ben Taskar solving computer vision problems with machine learning. Most of my work has been in using graphical models to solve human pose estimation in single 2-D images or video. Specifically, we study how to overcome the computational bottleneck that handicaps most models applied to this problem, allowing us to design more expressive models with richer features that do better.
