About Me:
I'm just completed my Masters in Robotics at the University of Pennsylvania. I was affiliated with the GRASP LAB . My primary research interests include solving perception problems in the field of robotics, using machine learning techniques.
Before Upenn I spent a couple of years in the industry working in Philly, Germany, Taiwan and India. Prior to my Phileas Fogg stint I was a graduate student at UMD, College Park. I graduated with my first masters in Aerospace Engineering in 2008. I received my bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India in 2006
My academic & research advisors at Upenn were Prof. Kostas Daniilidis & Prof. C.J Taylor. Apart from them, I've also worked with Prof. Sanjiv Singh at Carnegie Mellon's Field Robotics Center as a summer intern and Prof. David Akin as a graduate student at Maryland.
My Current Status?
I just defended my thesis. Here's a copy of the final document. For the Fall of 2012 I'm headed to USC for a PhD in Computer Science. There, I'll be working with Prof. Stefan Schaal at the Computational Learning and Motor Control Lab
