Sharschchandra V. Bidargaddi is a graduate student at University of Pennsylvania, pursuing Master of Science in Engineering degree in Computer and Information Science. He did his Bachelor studies in Artificial Intelligence/Robotic Engineering from Merit International Institute of Technology - affliated to American International University of Management and Technology, CA, USA.

Prior Research and Professional Experience

    Prior to coming to UPenn, he worked with prof. Debasish Ghose and K.N.Krishnanad (PhD student) as a research assistant at the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Indian Insititute of Science, Bangalore. His research interests are in Multi-Agent Systems, Swarm-Robotics, Heterogenous Robotic Systems, and more recently Modular Robotics has intrigued his interests. During this tenure he has published few papers at National/International conferences & workshops and also in journal.

Current Research and Professional Activities

    He is currently working with Prof. Mark Yim on Modular Robotics, more specifically on emulating CAN Bus on a wireless link using Zigbee protocol and porting of Robotics Bus Protocol in ANSI C compliant cross-compiler.

    He works at the T.C.Chan Center for Building Simulation and Energy Studies, Design School and at the Center for Advanced Studies of India, School of Arts and Sciences as Graduate Student Employee.

    T.C.Chan Center for Building Simulation and Energy Studies: He is working with Dr Ali Malkawi at the Center as a webmaster and assistant of research related to energy studies. During summer he developed a web-based content management system for the Center's website using Flash as front-end, PHP as middle-layer and MySQL as backend.

    Center for Advanced Studies of India: He is working as webmaster.

Little About Sharschchandra
He did most part of his schooling at Hubli, later moved to Ooty for his undergraduate studies. But been staying on and off in blore since 2000. He is passionate about bikes, dogs, and more importantly Robotics. He has been very fortunate and lucky to have his hobby as his career.
