Variable Temperature STM

The Oxford Instrument VTSTM is designed to operate over a range of temperatures from 50K to 1000K during scanning, at speeds of 1ms to 100s per scan line.  It includes an eddy-current damped spring suspension mechanism, which provides vibration isolation and low sensitivity to noise.  It also has very high levels of thermal stability and allows for fast, accurate, reproducible sample heating.  The cryostat allows the cooling power to extend the operational temperature below room temperature.
