Chris Shull, Open Systems Specialist in ISC's Academic Computing Services unit, will serve as facilitator, and members of the ISC staff will provide support.

The Advisory Committee's job is to make sure we have the right working groups and goals defined, to provide necessary resources, to review progress at milestone points, and approve transitions from developmental to operational phases.

Due to the broad implications of many of the DCE Task Force's activities, the Task Force will open a variety of communications channels by which members of the Penn community can participate in and keep abreast of our proceedings. The World-Wide-Web lends itself well to information dissemination, e.g., announcements of findings and activities. Several NetNews groups and electronic mail lists will be used for discussion of issues facing the Task Force's Working Groups. Regular working meetings will be supplemented with special guest speakers and courses as appropriate.
