Printing

As part of the services offered by CETS, there are two public printers available for your use, located in 169 Moore and M70 Towne. To print to these printers, use one of the following commands:

lpr -P169 filename     (Moore 169)
lpr -Pm70 filename     (Towne M70)

These printers will accept plain text files, as well as ps (postscript) files. As a courtesy to other students, you are asked to follow a few simple rules:

You can also use the printqueue command to see what jobs are currently waiting to print. You must be logged onto eniac-l to do this.

lpr -P<printer_name> <filename>
Notes
  • Printer names are: 169, m70
    For Moore 169, Towne M70 printers, respectively.
  • Please be courteous to your fellow engineers by following the simple rules listed above.
