The Senior Project of Will Frank, BSE in Computer Science Engineering,
Class of 2006
Faculty Advisor: Oleg Sokolsky
The basics of this project are taken from a suggestion by Professor
Sokolsky on the CSE
400 Project Ideas web page. Professor Sokolsky wrote of his need
for tools to support searching for scientific literature through
services such as CiteSeer.
The idea that Professor Sokolsky and I decided on was an application,
which could treat a set of scientific papers as a graph, connected by
references. The application would be able to search the graph,
handling queries such as finding all papers within two steps of a
given paper, or identifying the shortest path between two papers.
The best way to get a feel for BiblioGRAPH, however, is to try it
out. The link is below, have fun!
