What you should know coming into ESE5310

ESE5310 builds on a basic understanding of Signals and Systems taught in ESE 224/325. The course will largely assume you
are proficient at the following:

Convolution in continuous and discrete time
System Functions/Impulse Response in continuous time
Laplace transform and properties
Frequency response/Bode plots
Pole-zero plots

are familiar with the following:

System functions/impulse response in discrete time
Z-transform
Difference equations

If you are rusty about any of this (or it seems unfamiliar), you should definitely take time to review it immediately before you fall behind. The more of a head start you have, the better you'll be able to keep up with the incredibly fast pace of the course.
