New Graduate Students Join the Head Injury Group

The lab would like to welcome Stephanie Pasquesi and Dianne Weeks to the head injury group.
Stephanie comes to the lab from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she studied mechanical engineering but became interested in bioengineering. She is excited about pursuing areas of research at the intersection of mechanical and bioengineering, like testing the material properties of cerebral bridging veins and investigating the biomechanics of cyclic head injuries in children.
Dianne comes to the lab from the University of Maryland Baltimore County where she also studied mechanical engineering. She is interested in looking at the time-course of biological changes immediately following head injury in infants and toddlers and perhaps adding some new imaging techniques to the lab repertoire to aid in this investigation.
