"The ultimate measure of a man is not where
he stands in moments of comfort and conveniences,
but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
-- Martin Luther King, Jr.
Welcome to my site! On September 28, 2005, just weeks into my sophomore year at the University of Pennsylvania, I was diagnosed with
Stage 4B Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system. I underwent chemotherapy and radiation treatments
at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) for eight months. On July 10, 2006, I received word that
my post-treatment PET scan came back negative. Almost ten months after being diagnosed, I was declared in remission. My post-treatment
scans since then have all come back clean as well, and I am optimistic that I will live the rest of my life cancer-free.
To the left, you will find my Health Journal, which I have kept ever since being diagnosed. I hope you find it to be a wonderful resource.
Please
if you have any questions or would like to talk. I would like to thank everyone for their prayers, support, and
encouragement throughout my battle with cancer. I cannot tell you enough how much I appreciate it. You have all been such a wonderful source of strength to me!
