Using a webcam, PC and an image segmentation algorithm, I developed an quality inspection system for the Rawdatain Water Bottling Co., Kuwait. This vision-based system detects defective water bottles (missing cap, defective cap, missing bottle, etc.) and immediately alerts the machine operators. You can view a demo of the system here and my undergraduate thesis (based on the work I did at the water bottling plant) here. I used Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 on a Windows XP system to implement this.
My current part-time work at the Department of Opthalmology involves the development of a deployable package for non-parametric prediction in Clinical Trials using Monte Carlo simulation. This software is developed under the supervision of Dr. G. S. Ying at the Scheie Eye Institute. I'm using Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 as the front-end and the statistical computing language R for the back-end.
Maintenance Works 2006 is a maintenance task
manager which allows an industry to store, schedule and manage the
maintenance tasks for various machines. This software will allow the user to
enter machine logs on every machine, query the database for the appropriate
maintenance tasks, keep record of the spare parts used, and the operator
name and machine meter reading when the maintenance task was performed. It
also generates pending task reports which are ready to be printed and is
also capable of consolidating the machine log data and the spare parts
inventory data for each task so that you can view all the necessary
information about the selected machine. I developed this for the internal
use of the Rawdatain Water Bottling Co., Kuwait.
EduVision is an educational package capable of performing a large number of image-processing operations like smoothing, blob detection, metrology, etc. This package was developed for EC Solutions Machine Vision Systems, Vellore, India.
In order to graphically visualize a new product developed at the Rawdatain Water Bottling Co., I created a number of CAD models in SolidWorks of different ideas under consideration.
