I am currently working towards my PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics at the University of Pennsylvania with my advisor Prof. Vijay Kumar. My current research is in control strategies for teams of robots performing information gathering tasks, specifically when there is low confidence in the sensor readings and the number of objects of interest is unknown. I am being supported by the National Defense Science and Engineering (NDSEG) fellowship, which I was awarded in 2011.
I received my BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Northwestern University, both in 2010. At Northwestern I worked with Prof. Kevin Lynch on several projects related to parameter identification of dynamic systems and non-grasping manipulation (eg. rolling, sliding, and bouncing).
