Research Interests

My current research interests lie in computer vision, specifically human pose estimation and segmentation.

Projects

Human Pose Estimation, Segmentation and Recognition [2006-present]

As the number of images on the web grows upward into the billions, understanding humans in images becomes increasingly important.

Balanced Graph Matching [2006] We present a new spectral relaxation technique for solving graph matching problems and a normalization procedure that can dramatically improve the matching accuracy.
SCAPE: Shape Completion and Animation of People [2005] A data-driven approach for building a human shape model which spans variation in both subject shape and pose from 3D scans.
The Correlated Correspondence Algorithm for Surface Registration [2004] An algorithm for registering 3D surface scans of an object undergoing significant deformations.
Recovering Articulated Object Models from 3D Range Data [2004] The algorithm automatically recovers a decomposition of an object into approximately rigid parts, the location of the parts in the different object instances, and the articulated object skeleton linking the parts.
