The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is a non-profit educational and service organization dedicated to empowering women to achieve their full potential in careers as engineers and leaders. The University of Pennsylvania Student Section and Philadelphia Professional Section of SWE are proud to announce that we will be hosting the 2010 Annual Region E Conference in downtown Philadelphia Friday, March 19 to Sunday, March 21, 2010. This year’s theme is SWE @ 60: a Strong Foundation for Engineering Success. It was chosen to celebrate the 60th or Diamond Anniversary of SWE. As Philadelphia is one of the founding sections of SWE, we felt it would be exciting and appropriate to celebrate the anniversary here. This special event will bring together women from all disciplines of engineering to participate in business meetings, professional development seminars, technical tours, camaraderie, and fun.
