Technical Communication Courses
The School of Engineering Technical Communication Program offers two Technical Communication courses for academic credit: EAS 500, and EAS 510. Both classes provide instruction and practice in the skills of written and oral communication that engineers need in both academic and professional endeavors. EAS 500 is open to both undergraduates and graduate students whose native language is English. EAS 510 adds a focus on language issues facing graduate students whose native language is not English.
TCP also offers a summer course, English for Engineers (EFE), for incoming international graduate students. This course does not count for academic credit.
EAS 500, EAS 510, and EFE are taught by TCP Director Mary Westervelt. For more information about the courses, click on the appropriate link to the left.
