I received the Diploma in mechanical engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Athens, Greece, in 2002, under the supervision of professor Kostas J. Kyriakopoulos, and the M.S.E. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical and systems engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, in 2005 and 2008, respectively, under the supervision of professor George J. Pappas. Currently, I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering, University of Pennsylvania, and a member of the GRASP Laboratory, University of Pennsylvania.

My main research interests involve modeling, analysis and distributed control of networked robots and systems, with applications in mobile robotics, sensor networks and systems biology. Problems I have addressed range from target assignment and formation control, to topology control of wireless networks and connectivity preserving flocking. I am particularly interested in hybrid solution techniques, on the interface of control theory with the discrete science of networks and graphs. Recently, I have also been working on modeling and identification of biomolecular networks.
