Penn Engineering
Penn Engineering offers the Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) degree as our flagship degree program, preparing students for careers in professional engineering and related fields. A BSE degree is the degree for a student who wishes to practice engineering after graduation or who is interested in more technical coursework relating to the engineering field.
The BAS program is designed for the student who does not plan to work as a professional engineer, but rather wants a customized education that combines other interests and technology in a manner unique to his/her career goals.
Penn Engineering’s dual degree programs allow students to combine their BSE or BAS degree with a second degree in one of Penn’s other undergraduate schools.

Students can enrich their undergraduate experience by satisfying degree requirements in two BSE curricula as a dual major.
Students (both BSE and BAS) have the opportunity to pursue a second major in the College of Arts and Sciences. This results in a single degree from Penn Engineering with two majors, one in engineering and one in the College.
Students may choose to complete a departmental engineering minor, an interdisciplinary engineering minor, a University minor or a College of Arts and Sciences minor.
