We’ve been very fortunate to travel to Europe several times. One summer, my wife thought we should take along her brother, Richard. He'd been having some problems and we thought a two week European travel tour would be helpful. He'd never been to Europe. We were going to rent a car and visit many cities new to us as well as him.

We fly to Frankfurt, an overnight trip. We get off the plane; he sees how different it is with people speaking German. It’s also a very big airport. We head toward the baggage claim. Not on the ground more than a few minutes but we literally cross paths with Paul K., a Wharton professor colleague from UPenn. Paul and his family came in on a different flight from Philadelphia and were heading to the train while we were heading to the rental cars. Richard's jaw dropped. So far from home and already I knew someone!
