‘‘How often do we tell our own life story? How often do we adjust, embellish, make sly cuts? And the longer life goes on, the fewer are those around to challenge our account, to remind us that our life is not our life, merely the story we have told about our life. Told to others, but mainly to ourselves.’’ - Julian Barnes

I grew up mainly in Madras, India (a.k.a. Chennai) but also lived at a bunch of other places during my childhood of which I remember Mumbai and Dubai the best. I withdrew into the jungles in the heart of Madras circa 2007 for four years of deep introspection before emerging Fourier-transformed and taking the grad school plunge.

Things I have been into for a long time now: books, tennis and other racquet sports, soccer, podcasts, languages, and history.
