About me

In January 2016 I started as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Systems and Information Engineering at the University of Virginia. I am looking for talented and motivated PhD students interested in aerial and ground robotics, controls, cyber-physical systems, and co-design and rapid prototyping. Please contact me if interested.

I'm a Postdoctoral Researcher in Robotics, Controls, and Cyber-Physical Systems security at the PRECISE Center, University of Pennsylvania.

My interests are in autonomous systems and everything related to this topic.

Short Academic Bio

I obtained both my Bachelor and Master in Electrical Engineering (summa-cum-laude) from the Politecnico di Milano where I was also awarded the gold medal for best graduate student. I obtained a Ph.D. in Robotics and Control Systems from the University of New Mexico where I focused on control of homogeneous and heterogeneous multi-agent systems under communication constraints. Currently at UPenn, I'm working on several topics related to robotics and cyber-physical systems: resilient state estimation against cyber attacks on autonomous and complex vehicles (DARPA-Hacms); synthesis and co-design of programming environments for folding and 3D-printing robotic systems (NSF-PPR Expedition); and coordination of autonomous vehicles using V2V technologies (DOT-Utc).
