To find a particular name on the wall, you'll need to consult the index of all names. These books are located at the ends of the V, in glass-covered stands. The names inside are listed alphabetically, and also by date. The index will tell you which panel, and on which line, the name you are looking for is located. Sometimes people would use paper and rub a pencil across a name to make a memento to keep.
