About Me

I am a postoctoral researcher in the Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania under the supervision of Alejandro Ribeiro. My research interests include optimization and control of dynamical systems. In particular, I am applying time varying optimization tools to Model Predictive Control and developing optimization algorithms for nonconvex problems. In the recent past, I have worked on the design of motion planning strategies that allow a robot to find the source of a given signal while avoiding the obstacles in the environment.

Previously, I completed my PhD in Electrical and Systems Enginnering at the University of Pennsylvania in Summer 2018. My dissertation may be found here. Concurrently, I completed the Master's degree in Statistics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Before coming to Philadelphia, I received my BS in Electrical Engineering from The School of Engineering at Univerisity of the Republic
