INFORMATIONS ON UNIVERSITÉ LAVAL AND QUÉBEC CITY

Université Laval (http://www.ulaval.ca) is the oldest French
speaking university in North America and hosts more than 30000
students. Of the 170 research centres in and around Québec City,
127 are associated with Université Laval. Québec City

is a North American city with a pronounced European flavour. This
is particularly noticeable in the Old Quarter, with its narrow
streets, its houses and churches of stone and its ramparts and
cannons. The Old Quarter of Québec belongs to UNESCO’s world
patrimony. Nature lovers can take advantage of the fact that the
city is close to the river, mountains and national parks. Winter
sports’enthusiasts have easy access to numerous downhill and
cross country ski centres.
