Research Expertise: Optics | Electromagnetics | Imaging

Nader's research interests span the fields of nanooptics and nanophotonics, metamaterials and plasmonics, and optical nanostructure modeling, including nanoantennas, nanocircuits, and nanosystems. Nader is also investigating bio-inspired sensing and imaging, as well as physics and reverse-engineering of polarization vision in nature. He and his group have been developing the concept of optical lumped nanocircuits based on material nanostructures, with the goal of opening the possibility of nanoelectronics with light.
