Visiting Penn Engineering
WE'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR VISIT and hope you are too. There's a lot to see on campus so we try and offer set times and schedules for taking a tour. We also recommend that you take the time to look around Philadelphia. It's a beautiful city, full of history and culture, lovely parks, sporting events, festivals and amazing restaurants from sushi to cheesteaks!
Engineering Undergraduate Tours
Penn Engineering offers a student-led tour of the engineering facilities for prospective Undergradaute students. No appointment is necessary. All tours leave from the Office of Academic Programs (APO) located in 111 Towne Building at 3:30pm. Dates are posted below.
Fall 2009 Tour Dates:
All weekday tours start at 3:30pm and depart from 111 Towne Building. Fall tours begin Monday, September 21, 2009 running through Thursday, December 10, 2009.
No tours will be held on the following weekdays: Friday, October 16 and Monday, October 19 (fall break) and Wednesday, November 25 - Friday, November 27 (Thanksgiving break).
Faculty Visits
Faculty visits are only available during the academic year (September - April) for High School Seniors. To request a visit with one of our professors, please email APO at least two weeks before your intended visit. Faculty visits are not guaranteed and are based on professor availability.
Engineering Class Visits
During the Fall and Spring terms, many engineering courses as well as several math and physics courses from the College of Arts and Sciences are pre-approved for class visits. Click here to see a list of Engineering Classes that are open to observation. At any time, prospective students are welcome to review the current term's course schedule at the University Registrar's website and request a visit to any class. In those cases, please email the desired course number, title, date, and class meeting time to the Office of Academic Programs for further assistance.
