School of Mathematical and Computer Sciences

LECTURER IN COMPUTER SCIENCE
(5 Year Fixed Term)

Applications are invited for the above position in the Computer Science
Division of the School. The School offers Bachelor, Master and Doctorate
programs in Computer Science and has an active graduate program in the areas
of Parallel and Distributed Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Distributed
Artificial Intelligence and Program Semantics.

Applicants should have qualifications in Computer Science at the PhD level.
While applications are sought from persons in any branch of computer
science, preference may be given to applicants with teaching or research
experience in one of the above areas of School interest.

Teaching is a vital aspect of the work of the School, and the appointee will
have excellent teaching and communication skills. The University of New
England is a leading provider of Distance Education in Australia, and the
duties of the position include teaching of external students and the
development of resource materials for them at both the undergraduate and
postgraduate level.
