Please choose the lab format you prefer:

Web page plus telnet window

Choose this option if you prefer to work directly in the UNIX environment on the SP. This is a good option for those with UNIX experience. This link will bring you to the Web page containing the lab exercise instructions. You will then telnet to the SP in a separate window to work through the lab. If your screen does not have windows, you may wish to print out the instructions so that you can refer to the text while you work through the exercise.

Web page including the Virtual Workshop Companion

Choose this option if you prefer to use our Web page interface to the SP. This is a good option for those who prefer not to work directly in UNIX. This link will bring you to a Web page with two frames, one frame for instruction, and a second frame for the SP Web interface, called the Virtual Workshop Companion.

The Virtual Workshop Companion has been tested on the following operating systems and Web browsers:

You must have Java and Javascript enabled.

The VWC looks best when viewed at 1024 x 768 resolution for Windows machines and at 1280 x 1024 resolution for UNIX machines.
