About Me
Hello! I'm Michael Pignatelli, a computer science student at the University of Pennsylvania. I specialize in computer vision, AI, and creative software solutions. I also have a passion for cognitive science, and I am pursuing a second major in this field. My academic journey drives me to innovate, build projects, and inspire others.
I serve as a Head Teaching Assistant for CIS 1100, the introductory computer science class at Penn, covering basic
data structures and algorithms in Python and Java.
In this role, I lead a staff of 40+ TAs in helping introduce approximately 300 students each
semester to computer science. I also lead the
EdStem Committee where I ensure the swift and accurate response to student questions, and contribute
to the Course Infrastructure Committee.
Additionally, I am an incoming Software Engineering Intern at Ava Labs (starting June 2025).
