How much quota (disk space) do I have?
SEAS students receive 4GB and faculty receive 10GB of disk space.
Here are four ways to check your quota:
- Login to the Account Management Area for detailed information about your quota usage.
- Login to SEAS Webmail. Your quota is displayed in the upper right corner.
- If you use the Linux command line, you can use the command "quota -v".
- In any of the SEAS Windows labs, you can right-click on your S: drive and select "Properties".
Please do not waste disk space. Disk space is a shared resource, so please use it responsibly.
Note that the size of your email inbox does not count against your SEAS home directory quota. There is a separate 250 MB limit on your inbox if you are on the SEAS mail server. For more information on deleting mail from your inbox, please see, "I've deleted email, why am I still taking up too much space in the mail spool? "
Need more space?
All students, faculty and staff have 20GB of free storage with Penn+Box.
